     The facts are not yet clear but it appears Charllotte became pregnant with Ameilia either before or after she was assigned to the Union Workhouse in Salford. (http://www.workhouses.org.uk/index.html?Salford/Salford.shtml) The birth certificate states in 1888 she was a Cotton Spinner Operator at Union Workhouse, 3 Maple Street, Pendelton, England. No father is listed on certificate.

Research Notes: Charlotte was not at the Union Workhouse in 1881 accounding to the census..

     According to the 1910 Census, James Joseph was living with his new wife of 4 year, Mary Sullivan and 3 children from his first marriage with Mrs. O' Reilly. It appears that the 3 brothers of his first wife, were Also living with him at the time. James's daughter eventually marries one of his first wife brothers, Micheal O'Reilly which appears to be one of her uncles if Kathrine is of James's first marriage. This may have been because Micheal O' Reilly was not naturalize as a US citizen as of 1910 but his brother John was
