Lights

The
celebration
began
with
a
dock
party
complete
with
food
and
drink.
As
friends
and
family
gathered
and
enjoyed
the
afternoon,
the
final
touches
were
added
the
the
ship
for
the
participation
in
the
37th
annual
"Parade
of
Lights"
in
the
San
Diego
Bay.
The
evening
included
fireworks
displays
and
the
passing
of
two
(2)
cruise
ships
leaving
port.

Our
first
open
sea
voyage!
After
our
first
year
of
owning
and
leaning
how
to
sail,
we
set
our
eyes
on
Catalina.
Other
than
some
minor
engine
problems
on
our
last
leg
of
the
voyage,
everything
went
fantastic!

Anne

I
spent
the
4th
on
the
boat
in
San
Diego
where
the
city
honored
our
military
with
4
barges
of
fireworks
all
around
the
bay.
The
views
were
amazing,
Definitely
an
annual
event.

Jessica
and
her
friends
joined
us
for
a
day
of
Fun
and
Sun.
We
sailed
San
Diego
Bay
from
Sunroads
Marina
to 5
miles
south
of
the
Coronado
Bridge.
On
the
way
back
we
docked
at
Coronado
Island
for
some
shopping
an
fine
dining
then
returned
during
a
summer
sunset.
Great
people
and
great
fun!!

Well,
it's

time
again.
Everyone
met
at
Mom
Parks
house
in
Las
Vegas,
NV
to
enjoy
another
Family
Thanksgiving.
One
of
the
favorite
hangouts
this
year
was
The
Irish
Pub
where
memories
were
made.

Maiden
Voyage
September 2004 |

Over
this
weekend
we
purchased
our
first
sailboat,
"GONE
WITH
THE
WIND"
and
took
her
on
our
maiden
voyage
from
Dana
Point
to
Newport
Beach,
CA.
Nick
and
his
friend,
Ben
Hofmann,
joined
us
as
first
mates.
